Magazine deconstruction

I produced the magazine front cover with the aim of creating synergy with the trailer from the main image (as you would expect from a magazine front cover promoting a film). I also aimed create synergy with the other ancillary piece of work, the film poster.





This is my magazine front cover.

The main image in my magazine is the face of the boy from the trailer, i have also extended the synergy of this image by editing it so that the image looks more ominous and inkeeping with the mood of the trailer.

At the top of my magazine i included a banner in which it states that inside the magazine there are three free film posters. I added this to create synergy between the ancillary tasks as one of the posters is the film poster that i created. I alos added film posters for the trailers constructed by the other groups in my class.

I created synergy between the magazine and the trailer with the use of the main body of text. 'Enter the Evil of No.38'. I believe this works well on the magazine as it is alliteration which flows well but it also works with the style that i tried to create with the trailer and the overall desired effect that the Horror genre creates due to the mention of the word evil.

Poster deconstruction

This is the poster that i created for the No.38 promotional package. I decided to construct the poster as a landscape poster rather than a portrait poster as i belived that to establish the house properly landscape had to be used as portrait would distort the image.

I believe that i effectively combined all of the different aspects of the promotional package together through different techniques.

In this poster i have created synergy between the different aspects of the package through the use of the house, the review in the top right of the poster and the text at the bottom of the poster. the use of the house creates synergy with the trailer as the same house is used as the establishing shot at the begining of the trailer.

The review in the top right of the page creates synergy with the magazine front cover that i constructed as the name of the magazine that i created is 'Action'.

The text at the bottom of the poster links with the production of the trailer as the names used are the names of the actors and of the directors of the film.

Introduction

I created a film poster and a magazine front cover for my ancillary tasks. These items will be combined with my trailer to produce a promotional package for the film No.38. as i was creating the items i wanted to create a link between all aspects of the promotional package and therefore create synergy between each aspect of the package.
